The New England Surf Company (NESC) was established in 2008. Our goal is to create a unique line of clothing and accessories that appeal to all surfers and watermen while at the same time allowing us a way to give back to the environment and make an impact on the health of our oceans. New England has never been notorious as a surf destination and although locals would like to keep it that way, the truth is, more and more people are finding their way into our line-ups every day! Determined to find a way to combine work and play, the two founders joined forces and are proud to introduce you to the New England Surf Company. David Stowell - Growing up on the Grand Banks, David could hardly help but become a waterman. A Cape Ann native, he was raised on the rocky shores of New England, from a very young age he was either in, on or around the water. Both the ocean and his creativity became second nature; however, choosing the creative path he graduated from Montserrat College of art in Beverly, Massachusetts, coincidentally steps from the shoreline. David brings with him over twenty-five years of graphic design and commercial art experience. He has grown from Graphic Designer to Creative Director in the field of advertising. His body of work includes illustration, logo design, print collateral for ad campaigns, and artworks for sport and resort apparel. Never losing his spirit for the sea David started surfing a few years ago and after his first waves, he's been in the line up ever since! With his new found passion for surfing, his love for the ocean and a renewed energy of creativity his art captures the essence of the New England surf culture in our designs and brings the life style to you. Collin Goodrow - Collin is also a New England native and avid surfer. Raised by a boat captain father, he spent most of his early years on the water engulfed in New England's rich marine and boat building history. He quickly transitioned out of the boat and onto a board and hasn't looked back since. He's our "jack-of-all-trades" and is always looking for a new angle or way to have fun in the ocean. Collin is also responsible for the business development of the New England Surf Company and is passionate about his work and making a positive impact on our oceans, "I feel so lucky to be able to give back to the environment through something I love doing and hope our products will inspire others to join the fight". One thing is for sure, the kid is on a mission and if we know Collin, you'll be seeing a change soon. |
